located smack-dab in the middle of town, the akibaru police headquarters is a well known local site. it's recently undergone a major makeover to equip the station with all of the latest cutting-edge technologies.

the shirohata industrial corporation is the largest and most successful business in akihara city. around 30 percent of the town's population works in this large building in one of it's many departments. while the company specializes in new technology is also produces other goods like clothing and household products.

A small, clique cafe just a ten minute walk from the local university, and a fifteen minute bike ride from the high school. It's a popular destination for friends or couples to meet after school, and is especially loved by girly girls because of it's cute and inexpensive food.

"Silent Films" is the name of the grand movie theater in town, even if the films are no longer silent. The theater is all decked out and fancy, and it comes as no surprise to most that everything about it from tickets to snakes are expensive. Not to worry, they do have discount days, mostly very early in the morning during break where admission is more or less free.

the local 100 yen store selling all stores of novelty items with an emphases on anime products. it's run by a sweet twenty-something year old named kana and she does run it all by herself, everyday from eight am to eight pm, closed only on holidays, when she's dog sick, or during the rare times she chooses to go out for a quick bite to eat.

a park that's very popular with the young children. it's a relaxing place, large and spacious with winding trails past trees and bushes and the like. it has a play area for small children that older kids sometimes take of advantage of, and a small sandbox area. near the main entrance of the park in a statute of a dog barking, hence the name of the park.

A small convenience store run by a sweet elderly couple. They actively hire high school and collage students to do most of the work that they cannot do anymore. It's a relatively average convince store, selling all the basics you would expect as well as some more out there items. They are well-known in the area for their collection of "Happy Panda" products that they alone sell that covers everything from small school supplies to fast food products.

The only ice skating rink in town, and a mighty nice one to. It's a common place for teenage dates. It opened in 1980 as a small, dinky little thing and rapidly grew in a great rink that even recently added a joint roller skating rink and concession stands and arcade games. It's once of the most favored places in the town.
